The US magazine Wine Advocate (Robert Parker) has just awarded the score of 91/100 to the ‘Coteaux Varois en Provence 2017, Domaine Harmonie des Arpents.
Tasting notes from Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate) : «The medium-bodied 2017 Coteaux Varois en Provence Rose is a blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 20% Cinsault. It’s medium-bodied, with classy aromas of crushed stone and underripe peach as well as fine, delicate fruit notes of melon, followed by a long, silky textured finish dusted with peppery spice. It’s a terrific value, with enough complexity to keep it interesting bottle after bottle.»
History of the Domaine : The 35 hectares of vines that make up the estate are cultivated with the greatest respect for the environment, without the use of any herbicides or synthetic product. The maintenance of the soil is done with the help of mechanic tools, and only sulfur and copper are used to fight against vine diseases. The Mediterranean climate is marked by the vineyard’s location at 330 meters above sea level, which results in harsh winters and hot summers. The soil is clay-limestone with a high proportion of pebbles.
