The US magazine Wine Advocate (Robert Parker) has just awarded the score of 91/100 to the Morgon Côte du Py 2016 and Morgon Grand Cras 2016.
Tasting notes (William Kelley) :
« The 2016 Morgon Côte du Py is decidedly impressive, offering up a rich bouquet of cassis, black cherry, roasted meats, smoke and rich soil. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, ample and nicely concentrated, with layered mid-palate, juicy acids and a good core of fruit. »
« The 2016 Morgon Grands Cras is also a great success, exhibiting aromas of ripe cherries, strawberry preserve and riche soil. On the palate, it’s medium to full bodied, ample, rich and youthfully chewy, balanced by sappy acids.»
